November 16, 2015, Atlanta, Georgia – Southeastrans has contracted with HealthKeepers, Inc. for management of non-emergency medical transportation services in Virginia. HealthKeepers is an Anthem health maintenance organization offering health plans for Medicaid and Medicare Medicaid Dual Integration Members. It is the largest Medicaid health plan in Virginia, with over 250,000 members. Southeastrans will provide call center services, provider network administration, quality management, and claims administration for the health plan’s non-emergency medical transportation benefit. The contract begins November 18, 2015.
Steve Adams, President of Southeastrans said “We are grateful for the opportunity to begin working with Anthem in Virginia and will be working diligently to improve the quality of transportation services to ensure timely access to care for their members throughout the Commonwealth.” Southeastrans has established a regional office in Richmond to support this contract and will provide call center services in the company’s Chattanooga-based call center.
